Mario García Joya

For me photography is a medium used to express ideas and I utilize it as a basis to structure my dialogue through various images depending on the complexity of the subject. In one sense, I am closer to the blueprint of Robert Frank than of Cartier Bresson but it is more difficult for me to put in only one image all my ideas. However, there is always some (photo) that functions with certain autonomy like the guiding voice in a chorus. One that I like more for the number of nuances it possesses as the one where I have a shark almost swallowing a cyclist. Together with other meanings it is a metaphor describing my thoughts on the relationship between power and the individual.
